A Roundup of Glossier Dupes
Glossier is a brand that is always imitated, rarely surpassed, and sometimes duplicated. It created the concept of a community-driven brand, lead the new wave of no-makeup makeup trend, and created countless iconic products like boy brow and cloud paint that weren't really "a thing" before.
While the "pink-pouch" experience is not easily found elsewhere, there are certainly more affordable (glossier's products are small in size so the price point is not as low as it seems) and more accommodating products in the market. We put some of them into this post for you. Read on!
Glossier lash slick gives lash-extension-like long lashes, is waterproof, and can be removed with just water. It is a no-fuss everyday mascara that stood out among its "dramatic" peers.
If you want everything
Glossier lash slick has to offer but with a little bit more volume,
Maybelline lash sensational sky-high mascara is the one for you. It's been sold out a couple of times since its launch for its lengthening, curling, and conditioning properties. Similar to lash slick, it gives you natural lashes that are more favored over the clumpy ones these days.
We hate to say this because we are big Glossier fans - but there is nothing too special about
Glossier Pro Tip, other than the glossier pink of course. There are so many good drug store eyeliners in the market that are long-lasting, easy to apply, and at fractions of the price, such as the
NYX Epic Ink Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner ($9), which a lot of people prefer over many other high-end liners.
Glossier Stretch Concealer Dupe
These two products are similar but also different. Similar in that they are both emollient, hydrating, and melt into the skin upon application, but without leaving any traces of cakiness that concealers typically give. Different in that Undone Beauty has more coverage, 3 different levels of coverage actually, you can go sheer or build it up to your likings. It is also a bit thicker and less wet than the Glossier stretch concealer, so less likely to crease, and all in all, more concealer-like than Glossier's.
Our verdict? If you are looking for a similar but more affordable and more concealer-like product than the Glossier stretch concealer, you cannot go wrong with the
Undone Beauty 3-in-1 Concealer Palette ($12).
Glossier Cloud Paint Dupe
Glossier cloud paint ($18) started the cream blush trend. Since its launch, everyone started falling in love with the diffused natural blush look cream blushes give and ditched powder blush. Cloud paint is a great cream blush, however, $18 for one color is too much for someone who wants multiple colors for different looks.
One of the most underrated brands, Flower Beauty by Drew Barrymore, has these
blush bomb cream blushes ($10) that are almost exact dupes of cloud paint, at half the price. Both have a sheer, easy-to-blend, easy-to-build-up formula that can last throughout the day. The colors are very similar as well. If you are a fan of Glossier cloud paint, we highly recommend you give Flower Beauty blush bomb a try.
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser Dupe
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser ($18/177ml) is one of Glossier's best-selling products. It's gentle and soft on the skin but also cleanses well without stripping the skin.
We found the
La Roche-Posay Hydrating Gentle Cleanser to give very similar results at 1/3 of the price ($14.99/400ml). It's formulated with even better ingredients like Ceramide-3, Niacinamide, Glycerin, La Roche-Posay Prebiotic Thermal Water. It's gentle and hydrating - a holy grail cleanser for many with sensitive skin.
Many don't get the
Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint ($26). Is it on my face or not? Why bother putting it on if one cannot tell. But for those with almost perfect skin or who prefer to let the skin shown through, the Glossier skin tint was the holy grail product that didn't exist when it launched. It gives the skin just a tiny bit of wash of color to even out the skin tone, while the glycerin works to moisturize and glow up the skin.
Why looking for a dupe of Glossier skin tint? Maybe you want just a bit more coverage, or you want more shade, or you want sunscreen added, or you want more skincare benefits… Even if you want all of that, the
ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 ($48) will make you happy.
I know, I know, it's more expensive. For starters, you need much fewer drops for each application, so it will last you a long time. Also, Ilia's skin tint is a hybrid of skincare, skin tint, and SPF. It's formulated with ingredients like squalane, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide (all the great ingredients) that hydrates and plumps up the skin. The coverage is light (but more than Glossier's) but buildable. The SPF 40 with non-nano zinc oxide is enough to substitute your daily sunscreen.
The best thing about it is it doesn't stay tacky on the skin like a lot of hydrating skin tint, but will dry down and settle on the skin after 30–60 seconds, while still maintain the dewy finish.
If you simply want a more affordable dupe, the Reddit community voted the
Milani Glow Hydrating Skin Tint ($11.99) to be a close drug store dupe of the Glossier skin tint.
The concept of future dew is good- a nourishing, glowy, dewy serum that can be used as skincare or highlighter. The execution of the futuredew, however, makes it not suitable for anyone with non-dry skin. It's too thick to sink into the skin, so it can appear oily instead of being dewy, and can easily cause breakouts.
The
Laneige Glowy Makeup Serum is a lightweight version of the futuredew that not only hydrate skin for a dewy finish without appearing oily but also smooth and prep the skin for makeup.
If you want a more affordable dupe, we've also heard many good things about the
Versed Luminizing Glow Drops, another lightweight hydrating glow enhancer.
